About Us

ROSANNA

She’s an I’m-gonna-love-you-with-all-I’ve-got-even-if-that-means-kicking-you-in-the-ass-once-in-a-while type of lover with that kind of I-know-what-you-need-before-you-know-you-need-it intuition. Her sarcasm is strong, just like her coffee. She likes slow, quiet mornings, but she has four kids. She’s a little old-fashioned. And, like any good, Italian girl, sitting around the table sharing a meal with family and friends is truly her favorite thing. She’s as loyal as they come—the kind of person you want on your side. Others would characterize her as confident, but she wouldn’t agree. She can’t take a compliment to save her life. She’s an Ennegram Type 2 with a 3 Wing, which means she has a passion for serving others. Like most people, she loves a good binge on Netflix. Her taste in music is similar to her group of friends, both are a curated mix of eclectic beats. She loves to work out, something she would have never thought she’d say. She’s a lover of pretty coffee mugs, fresh flowers, and footed cake stands. Although she began her career as a high school English teacher, she now owns and operates an event planning and wedding coordination business. And somewhere in the middle of all of that she’s become a mom to four wonderful children that keep her on her toes. And of all the things in the world, what’s most perplexing to her is that her Apple Watch always reminds her to breathe, at the exact moments she needs it most.

JORDAN

He’s a kind-hearted educator who uses reading and writing as a way to help encourage, inspire, and develop future generations. He’s an up-at-the-crack-of-dawn-get-my-workout-in-and-carpe-the-diem-out-of-this-day-kind-of-guy. As an avid reader, Jordan constantly pursues the big and the new. Taking on investing, real-estate, and writing are just some of his hobbies when he’s not in the classroom. Jordan was a minimalist before it was ever a thing, and he really does enjoy the simple pleasures in life. He’s not flashy or in to things and stuff. You’ll never find him watching TV, so to relax he’ll diddle on his piano, write poetry, have a Nerf gun battle with his kids, or maybe secretly catch a dad nap when no one is looking. Publicly, he’s modest about his musical talents, but that doesn’t keep him from jamming on the drums or tickling the ivories in private. He refers to himself as a rich man and often tells his kids they are rich. “We have a beautiful home to keep us warm and safe, food on the table, great education, and above all else, we have love.” He’s completely comfortable just being him, even though that’s often times not like everyone else. He doesn’t worry himself with doing what everyone else is doing, although Rosanna did convince him to watch Tiger King. And to be completely honest, Jordan has no idea what an Enneagram is, and he’d like to keep it that way.

This is Us

These two kids met in high school. They were in marching band together, and depending who you ask you’ll get different accounts of who was checking who out on the practice field. After attending homecoming as sophomores, they soon began dating (by “dating” we mean holding hands during school, blushing, and not saying anything, and then going home to log-on to AOL via the dial-up connection to “chat” on-line until someone else had to use the phone).

After attending separate colleges in Illinois, proving that absence can make the heart grow fonder, they were engaged in July of 2004 and were married in June of 2006. Since then they have continued to tackle life together. From the start of their teaching careers, to traveling, and buying a home, receiving additional degrees, having children, changing careers,  managing real estate, starting a business, they have navigated all the nuances of married of life and growing up, together.
